Barbara Burrell, MD

Dr. Burrell graduated magna cum laude from Loyola University of Chicago in 1980 and received her Masters in Social Work in 1983. She graduated from medical school at Rush Medical College in 1998, and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Rush Presbyterian Saint Lukes Medical Center in 2001. She worked at a private practice in Hoffman Estates for 8 years and then joined Fox Valley Internal Medicine in 2009. Dr. Burrell is board certified in Internal Medicine.

Her special interests include cardiac-related conditions such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia and diabetes, as well as women’s health issues. She is very focused on preventative health and believes it is important to work along with her patients on achieving good health practices. She also has an interest in non-surgical sports medicine.
