Ultrasound

Ultrasound is the most frequently ordered non-invasive diagnostic test. Ultrasound doesn’t require any radiation or intravenous access to perform the test. The ultrasound machine sends ultrasonic waves which reflect off organs within the patient's body and these return waves are picked up by the transducer to create a visual picture.

Here at Fox Valley Internal Medicine we perform ultrasounds of the heart, arteries and veins, abdomen, thyroid, pelvis, and individual organs or body parts.
